Doing the Deed
Working in a law office, this phrase comes up occasionally. For example, someone will say "what agency is taking care of the Miller closing?" to which someone else will reply "Eagle Title Company is doing the deed."

No, we usually refer to lawyers who do unethical things as corrupt and evil.
