This Speaks For Itself

From Saturday Night, by Susan Orlean:

"In the 1950's and 1960's, it wasn't as easy to come by a gun in Detroit on short notice - say, on a Saturday Night - as some people in Detroit apparently would have liked it to be, whereas an hour away, in Toledo, Ohio, there were loose gun laws and firearms for sale in most convenience stores and markets. A Saturday-night cruise out of the Motor City, topped off by the purchase of a Manstopper .22 in Toledo, became a Detroit-style date of some popularity. It was a cheap date, too, since some of these guns sold for as little as three dollars. It was around this time that people in Detroit started calling the guns "Saturday Night Specials," since Saturday was a popular time to go to Toledo to buy one..."

Awesome. Is it wrong that I'm actually kind of proud?

Yes, it is. It means you're secretly violent and prone to aggressive tendencies.
