He's Got My Vote

I saw Casino Royale yesterday.

There has been much discussion as to the worthiness of Daniel Craig, the most recent actor installed as James Bond, to portray the storied character.

After seeing the film, I can say that uncertainty is unfounded. Craig is arguably the best Bond yet. Casino Royale is a prequel to all of the other Bond movies, taking place just as Bond receives his double "O" status. He gets his chops in this movie, and It's exhilarating to watch.

See it. You'll like it.

Why I'm Glad I Don't Live in Greenleaf, Idaho

The brilliant governing minds of Greenleaf, Idaho have decided it prudent that their citizens arm themselves. The city council has passed an ordinance urging the residents of Greenleaf to buy guns.

This decision was reached to help the citizens protect themselves in case, according to the International Herald Tribune, they are "overrun by refugees from the Gulf Coast."

Huh?

It doesn't seem likely that any refugees that remain in the Gulf Coast region will suddenly wake up one morning and think, "Greenleaf, Idaho, where I can have an even lower quality of life. Of course!"

Take a look at a map and try and find Greenleaf. Then, chart the distance from Greenleaf to the Gulf Coast. Not exactly a straight shot, is it?

But, in the unlikely event that Greenleaf is overrun by refugees, will the townspeople station themselves at the city limits and pick off all those that enter with out-of-state license plates?

In a state already notorious for forming backwoods militias, supporting the proliferation of arms is going to be very effective in reinforcing the notion that Idahoans are backwards isolationists.

Hey Idaho, I've got a new state motto for you: "Beautiful County, Crazy people."

When Ohio Comes To A Halt

The Big Game is tomorrow.

It is a time where people plaster their bodies, houses and cars with support for either Ohio State or Michigan.

The usual excitement has reached a fevered pitch this year as OSU and Michigan are ranked the number 1 and 2 teams this year, respectively.

As the game approaches, life in Ohio comes to a halt. Stores empty, streets become deserted. Everyone holes up in sports bars or their homes.

I think its time for me to move.

The Haunted Copier

The six-month old, state-of-the-art copier at the office creaks like a door being slowly opened in an old, abandoned house.
