The Joys of Retail Shopping

I purchase almost everything I need online. This includes things one would feel much more comfortable buying in a bricks and mortar store, like shoes. I shop online because of the selection, ease, and convenience.

However, due to a homemade Christmas present that I could not buy online, and needing to look at home related things at Lowes and Home Depot, I had to venture into the stores today. I was immediately filled with the old familiar feelings of impatience, annoyance, and anger while trying to wade through the throngs of people.

Yes, I'm an anti-social loner.

There is good news to report. My Christmas shopping is done.

Christmas Came Early This Year

I bought a house a few weeks ago and I moved in yesterday. It's not a large house by any means, but compared with the 288 square foot studio apartment I was living in, it seems palatial.

I won't be in Toledo forever, but I feel glad that I've stemmed the hemorrhage of money that is renting.
