The Anna Nicole Smith Show (A.D. Edition)

This is probably really insensitive, but does anyone else find the
court proceedings over Anna Nicole Smith as ridiculously entertaining as I do?

I mean, wow. I've been watching them on MSNBC during lunch and they're just incredible.

As one legal analyst said, it's like a circus. The judge doesn't look like
he knows what he's doing. The attorneys don't look like they know what
they're doing. Courtroom procedures are disrespected. There is shouting, petty jabs, laughter, mockery and anything else you can think of that one would normally see in a bar,not a court of law.

I feel very badly for Anna Nicole Smith's baby daughter. I also feel badly for Anna Nicole Smith's mother. If I were her, I'd be seething and probably request a different judge, if that is possible. To a lesser extent, I feel sorry for Howard Stern. Really, I feel bad for any family or friends who are forced to be a
part of this spectacle.

Life (the current court proceedings over Anna Nicole Smith) certainly does seem to be imitating Art (Anna Nicole's show on E! Entertainment Television).

"How bizarre, how bizarre."

Who Is Our Most Arrogrant and Brittle Client?

Answer: A senior pastor of a local Baptist church (no, not that one).

His calls to the office are always drenched with impatience and disdain.

I feel at peace for not attending church every time I hang up with him.

The Day I Lost Faith in our Medical System

It was last Tuesday, the day I went in for a routine check-up so I could get two prescriptions refilled.

I told the doctor that I had tapered off and then discontinued taking a third
medication. I told him of some of the side effects I was experience
from the withdrawal.

He proceeded to discount every side effect as unrelated to the medication withdrawal. For example, he blamed the dizziness
I was experiencing on a a blockage of the inner ear. He ordered a test
performed. The test result? My ears are perfectly fine. He dismissed
the other withdrawal side effects as the return of problems that caused me to
begin taking the medication.

No.

I was expecting this to some degree. Only, not to the level that occurred at the doctor's office.

So, this is what I've secretly come to know and now proclaim from the rooftops: DOCTORS DON'T KNOW S***.

I'm A Druggie...

... and now I'm going through withdrawal from discontinuing a medication I've been on for about a year and a half. Therefore, I absolve myself from all bad behavior I may commit in the next few weeks.
